Győr handball stars helped decide Women’s 19 EHF EURO 2019 groups

On Tuesday, there was the draw event of the Women’s 19 EHF EURO 2019 groups which takes place between 11-21 July 2019 in Audi Arena Győr and Magvassy Mihály Sportcsarnok.

July 11-21, 2019, they were drawn to the Town Hall in Győr. between the Audi Arena in Győr and the women's U19 (junior) European Championship groups at Mihály Magvassy Sport Hall. The youth world championship silver medalist Hungarian national team went to Group C from pot 1 and will take on Spain, Montenegro and neighbours Austria.

Tuesday’s event at Győr Townhall also saw EHF Executive Committee Member Gabriella Horváth and Hungarian Handball Federation Vice-president Katalin Pálinger assist the EHF’s Senior Manager National Team Competitions Peter Sichelschmidt with the draw. Győri Audi ETO KC players Stine Oftedal, Nycke Groot, Anita Görbicz and Amandine Leynaud helped decide the fate of the next generation of stars in the Women’s 19 EHF EURO 2019 draw event.

Groups:
Group A: France, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia
Group B: Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Croatia
Group C: Hungary, Spain, Montenegro, Austria
Group D: Norway, Romania, Sweden, Portugal

The first two teams of the group will qualify for the main round. From the second phase of the tournament, the first two runners of the two main round groups will qualify for the semi-finals.
